It usually takes about ten minutes to fifteen minutes depending if you want it hard boiled or soft. Put all the eggs in pan then put enough water to cover the eggs heat to boiling. Turn down the heat to very low and cook eggs to desired hardness 3-5min for soft boiled and 10-12 for hard boiled. Remove from hot water and emerged in cold water for easy peeling.

About 15 minutes for well done. Wait until the water boils then place the eggs inside. If you let it go an extra few minutes that's fine too. Place the eggs in very cold water for about 10 minutes then you wont burn your fingers when you peel them. Store any unshelled eggs in the fridge no longer than 2 days....enjoy!

Hard boiled: Boil 2 inch of water in large pot, Insert steaming rack (I like the collapsible kind) Place eggs on steamer, and turn down heat to medium boil. Steam eggs for 13 min. Remove eggs from pan and put in bowl of ice-water.
Soft and Medium boiled: 5+ minutes, depending on how soft or medium you like them.
Good luck

What I do: Take eggs, put in pot, cover w/ water, turn burner up(if you have cream of tartar throw some of that in) bring to boil, turn down simmer for 10 mins turn off let set for 5 more mins. They turn out better if they have aged some. Like, the eggs you bought last week will be easier to peel than the new ones, after boiling. Do not attempt to peel eggs before boiling them.

Place your eggs in cold water and when it starts boiling, time it for 10 minutes, then place them in cold water or water with ice to stop the cooking process. If cooked too long, the outside part of the yolk will turn green. If it's not green, you know you're doing it right.

8-11 minutes in pot of rolling boiling water after that the egg overcooks and begins to turn green and then the ever-so popular sulfar smell.
