right now I have xp home I want to put xp professional on it for more options.Question does xp prof. have the wpa-psk on there software or is that hardware on the computer itself as of now I have xp home with wep (wired equivalent privacy) on my computer and one of my reasons for wanting the prof. is the wpa-psk security level. thanks for your input.

WPA is not dependant on your operating system. You must have a wireless router and wireless adapter that support it. Are you using the drivers and software provided with your adapter? That is where you would usually find all your options.
If you are looking for windows xp pro cheap I would reccomend buying from www.newegg.com. Their prices are usually very good. Do not buy on ebay! People love to sell pirated software there.
