I can't get it to attach correctly. I unscrew the valve, put the pump on, flip up the handle and it falls right off. What am I doing wrong?

After you flip the handle up and put it on the valve, flip the handle down to tighten down on the valve.

Your not using a Silca #24 pump head!
This is available for 10 bucks or less and retrofitable to nearly any pump.
It is made of brass and has no moving parts.
Once a year or so buy a new rubber washer for it at about 1 dollar.

To use - simply push it on and pump. A small amount of air will "leak" out but it's ok! This is air in the pump hose - not from the tire. The presta valve does not allow air to flow in reverse.

There you have it. Any shop will perform this surgery for you. by the way.

did you reverse the fitting and the rubber bushing? make sure the part of the fitting that has the point (for shraeder) is pointing away from the valve opening and that the small opening on the rubber bushing is facing out. if that doesn't work message me with the pump model and i can probly help ya...

I agree with hlsj_99 invest in the silca head and your problems should be taken care of it's also much easier than the schroeder tire valves.Good Luck and happy biking

probably the valve stem in the tube is too short.. if you have deep section rims, you need to buy a valve extension, or tubes with longer valves..

If you are using the right hole the clamp should fit tightly. If not take your pump to a bike shop.
