actually.. i think a LOT of people give unconditional love these days... the problem is, they don't give it to the right people!! they give it to people who treat them badly, do not appreciate it, and eventually the love and the relationship sours.

the funny thing is, an unconditional love only "works" when it is with someone who KNOWS how to appreciate it! someone who knows what he or she has, and does what he or she *should*, for the good of the partner, and the good of the relationship! why would u deserve someone who unconditionally loves you, if you treat them badly? same goes for you; why should u love someone unconditionally, when they do not take care of you, do not appreciate you, or don't know how to do right by you? =T eventually, the love is going to sour, and the relationship suffers. even if u stay together, when one person is not doing his or her "job", of taking care of the other's needs and wants, that is not going to be a healthy relationship.

so, instead of thinking, gosh why do i HAVE to do this and that for my partner... u need to have the mentality of, Yay, i WANT to do this and that for my partner...because i LOVE her. i want to do right for, and by her. ***and, when u find someone who feels the SAME way about you, there will be Nothing missing from the relationship, because both of u are continuously working on making yourselves, and the relationship, *better*. good luck, and find someone who makes you WANT to do things, unconditionally and happily...but make sure that person is willing and able to do the same for you~~ :)

unconditional love is the best thing to give even when it is not reciprocated.

It does not mean giving or caving into demands or pressure or being a doormat for none of this is love.

Unconditional love is giving 100% to somebody and wanting the best for them in every way but this must be balanced in giving yourself the best love you can first. There is no point giving unconditional love and becoming resentful, its difficult to keep unconditional love in that circumstance.

Hope this helps

No such thing. Humans are incapable of such a thing as "unconditional love."

If a woman was madly in love with a man and then he started beating her years down the road, would she contiue to love him? Nope. (at least I certainly hope not) There is a condition right there.

There are always conditionals, spoken and unspoken, in every relationship and every human love.
