Na see Christians have always had this view that given the freedom to choose, a person will come to know the truth. So they set up a country about 200 yrs ago that would guarantee a person's right to freedom of religion. Little did they know that this would one day be taken to mean that the country should be "free of religion," and the truth would be drowned out by shouts of "science is the only truth!"

Still I have faith that in Christ's power and love. I don't need a government mandate to follow the path of Jesus Christ.

This is where interpretations go wrong. Christians on the whole believe Jesus is God. A little different from what Iran's President wants. Jesus was not a prophet as Islam believes him to be, but Jesus was the Messiah: the one who stands between mankind and God.

So for Iran's Prez to want Christians to follow one God, then he has to accept Jesus as the Christ (or Messiah) and be "born again."

I was raised as a Christian, but my way of living did not follow a Christian path. We're all born with a sense of right and wrong, I go with a "gut feeling" of what is right, and try to follow that path.

Yes, they do have a lot in common, as all religions do. The thing is that they have different interests, they each want to impose their own interest instead of respecting the other person's thoughts or culture. That is the main problem in religion, not tolerating people who don't believe in god or who prophesize a different religion.

This is exactly why I quit looking at any religions. There is no higher power behind them. Some charismatic teachers and lots of followers patting each other on their backs for being 'right'.

He wants everyone on Earth to convert to Islam. I think a lot of Christians (and most everyone else who isn't already a Muslim) would have a problem doing that.

Yeah but Christians don't enslave women and they wouldn't drop a nuke on someone out of hate.
