I am curious to hear personal stories from people who are anorexic to see how much weight they have lost in a week/month?

That's highly unusual, even for an anorectic. If your friend truly lost 20lbs in one week, you need to be a good friend to her and get to the hospital NOW. If this is true, she is SEVERELY dehydrated and needs to go ASAP for IV fluids and for a full medical screening. She is at GREAT medical risk and could die.

Most women suffering from anorexia do not lose THAT much weight/week. If they lose more than a couple of pounds, it is often indicative of SEVERE dehyrdation.

I agree with everyone else right now. Your best bet right now would be to help your friend by telling someone like your parents or someone from the school. It should be obvious to her parents that something is going on if she lost 20 lbs. in a week, which seems like it would be hard to do even with anorexia. Anorexia and bulemia are very dangerous disorders and can result in death if not dealt with. Not only is she malnourished, but her body is using her muscles as energy because there's nothing left for it to use. Reach out to her and help her instead of wanting to know how much a person can lose by being anorexic. It's just not worth risking your life over. Good luck!

If your are a true friend.
Then get her help now.
She is unstable right now & not in her right mind. She may hate you for awhile but she will get over it later & see that you are trying to help.
If you go to the parents and they don't do anything then go to the school { if you are students}
Just get her help and do it today.
Have the courage to be a true friend.
