I am Celtic Pagan. I was raised in a christian home and studied it...Was going to actually go to school so that I could ministry work. But I never found comfort in the church I always felt that I did not belong. I think that is why I tried harder to understand it. I then started researching on all religion. I did not fall into paganism easily I took my time and about a year after starting to discover it and read and learn I dedicated my life to the goddess and gods. It is the thing that felt right for "ME"

I say it that way because I made the decision for myself and nobody but yourself can make the decision of what is right for you but you...Something that is right for one may not be the answer for the other

Look at different religions and maybe you will find your answer there

I don't practice any relgion, although I have studied many of them over the years. That being said, I think you have to sit back and ask yourself a few questions.
1) Why do I feel that I need religion in my life in order to feel satisfied? Many people find satisfaction in their religion, while many people find their satisfaction in following a non-doctrinal spiritual life, and others find themselves happiest living completely without regard for any belief system.

2) What about my current religion isn't satisfying to me? Is it that the congregation you're a member of is geared for a different crowd than you, and simply by going to a different church of the same religion you will find the satisfaction you're looking for. Or maybe there's a basic tenent that you disagree with, and by searching for a religion that follows the same belief system that you share will lead you to the satisfaction you desire.

Good luck!

All religions are bunk. There are no gods. If there were actually a real god out there, we wouldn't have so many religions.

Personally, I'm an atheist and a secular humanist. I suppose that imagining some post-death reward might be appealing to some people. However, for me, the truth, even the less appealing parts, gives me much more satisfaction.

I suppose that's because with belief in invisible sky beings and floating invisible people all over the place, I'm left with more answers than those made up superstitions offer. For all that scientists have discovered, there are still many huge gaping holes in our understanding of the universe, but at least they are willing to admit that there is much we don't know. Religious people find solace in made up answers, but I find them vacuous. At least the answers that scientists find make sense and further discovery tends to refine that knowledge. Religion finds itself backpedaling all the time as its claims are overturned by newer evidence.

If your religion does not satisfy you then you need to start your own walk with God. Read the scriptures, pray, meditate over His word. Listen to the stillness and you will find He is probably talking to you. He wants a relationship with you as an individual who has come to Him of your own free will, not because someone stood up in front of you and said ,"This is how it is." No man can understand how God's mind functions. You could not contain a tenth of what he had to say in your mind without Him to help you sort it out. The bible is open to interpretation, therefore you should read it and interpret it for yourself. Then you can come to God whole in your faith and beliefs, not questioning someone else's logic.

I'm a Christian because I've come to know God and have a personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. Before I was saved, the Bible meant nothing to me; when I read it, I was unmoved and bored. Now that I'm saved and have that personal relationship, I realize the Bible is much more than just a book -- it's one of several ways (including prayer and the use of spiritual gifts) to get to know God.

I hope you find what you're looking for. Peace.

if you are not satisfied by your religion it may just mean that you are a thinking person and not willing to accept everything that a doctrine has to say hook, line and sinker. This is a good thing. Take what makes sense to you and continue to study other beliefs- you'll find you own personal truth out there somewhere- good luck!

I hate the word religion, myself. Why follow a bunch of rules out of fear of damnation? This is not the life for me.....I say that I have a RELATIONSHIP with my Lord and Saviour, and I would urge you to check out my best friend, His name is Jesus Christ. Only if you really look will you find Him, Heis there waiting for you to come to him. I will pray for you that your eyes are opened to His true love and that you will find what it is you have been missing out on all this time. God Bless. If you have questions for me you can email me, I would like to able to try and help you.

Christianity - it is the only religion with claims that have been historically validated and confirmed. It contains prophesy that has been fulfilled. It is the only religion that believes in a God that has conquered death and is now still alive.
