It really exists. I am a Wiccan for 3 years now, I am also a positive witch(I do not mess with negative forces) The first 4 spells I did backfired and I had some big emotional messes to clean up but yes it does work you just have to be knowledgeable about what you are doing in nature and with karma and the Three-fold Rule!!

If you are thinking the sort of magic that involves a person on stage pulling rabbits out of hats and sawing pretty girls in half, no it does not "work" - it is illusion. It is for entertainment purposes, and you can actually take formal classes in performance magic.
The sort of "magic" that is seen in the Harry Potter series is exciting and innovative, but it is also illusion. Nor does the sort of magic used by the wizard Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings trilogy actually happen. Wouldn't the world be an exciting place were such supernatural things possible? Wouldn't it be neat if YOU could discover within yourself the ability to do those magical things Harry does?
Actually, life can be just as exciting and you can feel just as good about yourself without magic. It takes work and it takes a good education, but you can come to do things just as impressive using real science and technology. And that's kewl!
There is one more kind of magick. Note the spelling - the "k" on the end. That sort of magick is the ritual that is used in Wicca. It's akin to the rituals you encounter in church - a means of uniting and communicating with one's spiritual side. That magick is also not going to change men into toads or produce unicorns or seduce innocent maidens. It won't stop your cow from giving milk or ruin this autumn's harvest. The only way to make a pumpkin "come alive" is for you to sit down and carve it and insert a candle to make it glow in the dark and to use your imagination to pretend the jack-o-lantern could be alive.
Don't despair, life can and will be as "magical" as you make it. Just don't expect the impossible.

As a witch, I would have to say yes. It is not about trickery or illusions, nor is it about turning people into toads and winning the lottery. It is about belief, and respect for all things alive in the universe. Magick is no quick fix, nor will it solve the mystery of life, the universe and everything.

Sadly real magic does not exist, although 500 years ago it was almost a respectable "science" in England.

My goodness yes! I work magic like a rented mule. It's easy too. You just have to believe it is so, and volia; it is! That is the key, believing; if it scares you; then don't believe and it goes away! Simple, eh!

There is no such thing as supernatural magic. There are, however, a lot of things that look like that. Anything that happens that you don't understand is, effectively, magic.
