My son was in the ER last week and his was 150. Which I thought seemed awfully high but the nurse said thats ok considering his fever. Anyone know?

Its between 130-150 beats per minute. Since he is a boy its fine as he had a fever (boys have slightly higher heart rates). So even without a fever he still would be ok but on the high end.

Hi!! I'm an EMT and the offical average heart rate for a 15 month old is 80-130, and if your son had a fever then yes, it is perfectly normal for his heart rate to be that high.

my son is 23 months, we go to the doctor every month for a problem he is having with his ears and his heart rate is always 110. and i mean always. just think of it this way, when they are in the womb, their heart rates can be as high as 170-180... you little guy was just probably nervous and didnt feel well.
