What are the other people thinking? Why do they choose different beliefs, or non-belief? I'm sure you have heard their reasons, so what were they, or what do you think they REALLY are?

It is God who decides (decided in eternities past).
He saves some to the glory of His grace and mercy.
He leaves others in their sin to the glory of His just wrath.
In all things, God is glorified.

Kindly do not place people with faith in other religions in the same catagory with those us who do not believe in any religion.

I realize that this is an astonishing, unacceptable possibility to you, but here goes: Not everyone responds to your religion the way you do. Different faiths resonate with different people, and you cannot change that no matter how loudly and aggressively you try to shove your Biblical interpetartions in their faces.

As for complete unbelievers, simply reading a bunch of stories that are unsupported by real-world evidence in a book written by superstitious desert nomads is not convincing. Contrary to the ideas you might have, many atheists have studies various religions...including yours. I have read the Bible several times back and forward, and even sideways a couple of times. I have not found whatever it is that rings your mental chimes.

Instead I found a pouty, egotistical, murdurous desert war-god with delusions of compassion. I found contradictions, hypocrisy, and abominable behavior by the so-called "heroes" of the Bible up to and including genocide.

If you want to know why we don't believe, try asking US. No one who hasn't stood in our shoes can know, only guess. And rant on and on about how selfish, blind, immoral, and evil we are.

I'm not sure I would want to know what some of these other people are thinking. Already I've been told that all non-believers have demons... but the non's really do believe, it's just that they don't walk with Jesus (so I guess that goes the same for them... they really do believe in Zeus, they just chose not to walk with him)

I believe because its so live in a world of sin and so hard to live in a world of righteousness. For instance, if I were to live in the world and do as the world does, more than likely I won't be mocked. But if I were to pass out tracks in my neighborhood. People would think I'm crazy. And who wants people to thnk that they are crazy. I mean you can crazy all you want, but I know that one glad morning when this life is over, I'll "FLY" and not "SINK".

Many people do not believe because "the devil has blinded their minds." King James Bible 2 Corinthians 4: 3-4

I have my own beliefs because I refuse to conform to the nonsense the masses believe in.

I'm my own person, I'll do what the hell I want to do as long as it's not against the law and not hurting other people. I refuse to base my lifestyle, values, etc on some ancient book.

You know what? When i was 12, i was hit by a car, not bad, but it did knock me on my butt. When i woke up the next day, i realized that my life was my own. I was responsible for my actions, not the will of some invisible parent figure loomig over me in the sky. I realized this when i was 12, 12!

" 'Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.' "

- Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:13, 14)

beliefs are just like family in our life. We can't choose yet we have to choose to live with. Even Non-belief is a WAY OF BELIEF system for not believing in "traditional-custom way of belief" ( if you know what i mean ! ).
