ya got me...I just checked out the nutritional info on the back of the bag here - http://www.cheetos.com/retro/parents_products.php
And can't find anything that automatically strikes me as being "the spicy" ingredient. Maybe it's the combo of citric acid, garlic and onion powder's...and all of those lovely chemicals they add that none of us know too much about. Mmmmmm....Cheetos.
