I had a chocolate frosty from WENDYS yesterday and it got me thinking... what exactly is the difference??? I mean the baskin robins chocolate milkshake does taste a little more "chocolatier" but other than that... what is it? I mean it can only be that they put more ice cream in their shake and WENDYS doesn't. The difference in the price is HUGEEE. The wendys small frosty is only 99cents where as the small shake in BR is 3.59 or something.

It's the quality of the ingredients; plus, Frostees tend to be a bit thicker and can only be eaten with a spoon (at least, when you first get it...)

Baskin Robbins has a variety of ice creams to choose from. Different types of chocolate melt differently. So it depends on what kind of ice cream you choose. (I like Jamocha Almond Fudge) ;-)

Wendy's frosty is blended more I think.

( I like to add malt to my shakes. Ask them if they have it at Baskin Robbins. It is a thickening agent, MMMM!)

The difference is the temperature in which a frosty is colder making in hard to use a straw with but let it warm up and you have a shake which you can use a straw with.

i think the frosty is thicker. i can't taste the difference, but i can't drink frosty through a straw, and i can drink a milkshake through a straw.
