I have 2 golden retrevers. They are puppies. I really need to train them and I don't know how. I don't just want to train them to sit, roll over etc.,
I want them to attack people when I give the comand.Because Where I live, there are lots of robbers. And When I say " Attack" I want them to attack. Like If I let them losse they dont attack any 1 unless I say so. How can I train them to do that?

Golden retrievers are generally too friendly to be "attack" dogs they tend to love everyone. However they are known for being barkers when there are tresspassers so they very well could scare people off with their bark. There are schools that will teach protection trainning, if you really feel you need that I would go to a professional and have them to that. You want to make sure your dog is obedient in every single way before even thinking about enrolling them into protection trainning.

you may live in a bad part of town but training for biting/attacking would be considered use of a deadly weapon by law enforcement and you could be arrested for it and the dogs destroyed, and you would not be able to own another dog for life.

Is that worth the risk? NO. Besides golden's are lovable companions. People like yourself wanting to train a dog to hurt others give those with great dogs a bad name. And in turn will help a city to outlaw your breed. Is that fair to the rest of the golden owners? How do you think the Breed Specific Laws were created for pit's? It was because of bad owners not bad dogs.

You have the totally wrong breed to be an attack dog. Also, someone who has a total lack of knowledge regarding dogs and training should never even own an attack dog let alone attempt to do any training.

I agree with the first answer. Trainning agression should be left up to police dogs....why do you think that trained militry and police dogs are not allowed to go to just any home when they retire.

That said...trainning to sit, stay, etc...is easy...it just takes time and patience. Work with the animals in ten-15 min intervals a couple of times a day. Praise them when they get things right but never punish when they don't. Treats work really well also.

Most dogs are protective of their owners so i wouldnt think you would have to train them to attack..thats not a good idea any way besides golden retrievers are gental natured they shouldnt be taught to attack wich they probably would if you were being attacked by someone. So i wouldnt worry about training them to do so.

I don't think it is ever a good idea to train a dog to attack, but remember this. If you develop a good relationship with your dogs and they see you as a member of their pack and love you, they will protect you without a command. If you are interested in doing schutzen training with your dogs, call around to some local dog trainers and breed clubs and get some references. Personal referals are always your best bet.

Don't train attack because if they are smart and see people in the house that are not suppose to they will attack on their own. My dogs sometimes do that but not people like relataives and friends. But if you want to train your dog to sit get out a little trreat for them and tell them to sit if they don't sit push their bottom and then wait for like 5sec. and they still stay there give them treats

the best way to get them to protect you is hope that they are protective like lots of dogs are over their owners, but what would you do if they bit a kid or passer by & they demand you to get the dog put to sleep, just give the pups plenty of love and they will look after you if or when they need to

your puppies will develope the need to protect and if someone tries to break in your house im sure that a robber would not enter... its been known that if they know there are dogs they wont even bother. what you need to do is make them bark. the barking alone would scare off someone trying to break in.

you cant train your dog that sorta thing. Dogs are very ill-temperd, if you train them to fight they will auto-matically turn on you when they get mad at your for sometihng... You shouldnt train sogs to be like that.. its not healthy and you need a ne damn brain froa wanting too, if you want protection buy a gun
