We all do. no matter who we are orwhat we believe. just a few examples. Do you have every bottle of liquid you drink checked to see it it is safe and not poisoned? no you trust that it is safe thats faith. or that your alarm clock will go off correctly or do you lay awake watching it. no. I put my faith and trust only in Jesus work on the cross for my salvation alone not works, or by just being a really good person there is none rightouse I know not one.

There's a big difference between faith, hope and Blind Faith.

Blind Faith is as bad as being Blind Drunk.

When someone takes excess alcohol it affects their mind and body. Alcohol can drive a person into the evil world of insanity, violence, murder and hatred. We all read about crimes of passion and the killing of innocent life as a result of excess alcohol. This problem is known as being Blind Drunk.

When people are subjected to the brain-washing effects of excess religion it also affects their mind and body. Religion has a history of evil, insanity, murder and hatred. We all read about holy wars and the killing of innocent life as a result of excess religion. This problem is known as Blind Faith.

Notice the commonality of the two – Blind Drunk and Blind Faith, they both affect the commonsense and logic processing of the brain, and can turn otherwise decent people into savage insane murderers full of hatred.

Either way, when you are Blind Drunk or have Blind Faith you are Blind to the Truth, so religious people should say no to religion once and for all, and learn how to be a decent humans being again. Under the influence of Blind Faith the mind suffers a form of madness, and is unable to think or act rationally in many aspects of life's reality.

well if I was faced with a bottle containing liquid I would not drink it to test if it was safe or not, that is complete idiocy! Yes I have a distrubed sleep if I know that my alarm is set since my alarm clock is tempermental. I put my faith in myself as there is no-else going to to do things in my life apart from me.

You have faith in Jesus because you have a reason to. Would you travel on an airplane if your father who never drove a plane in his life was the pilot? Faith without reason is childish behavior.

The difference with your examples is they're based on educated guess based on what we can see, feel, taste, experience around us. "Faith" in the religious sense has absolutely none of those qualities.
