I have already contacted them by e-mail and they haven't responded. I called the company and a very rude operator gave me an 800 number to call. When I asked if someone there would speak to me about this she said she really didn't know and hung up. I called it and got a recording. I guess the only way to get their attention is to continue the boycott and spread the word. I've told everyone I can think of and asked them to spread the word. I also signed the petition at wehirealiens.com.

Now for the real story:

"The money supported a recent convention on immigration issues in Chicago, which provided attendees with information on how to become legally naturalized citizens of the U.S.," he said.

Miller isn't sponsoring the march and didn't authorize use of its trademarks in association with the event, Marino said.

Marino said Miller supports reform of immigration law, but not illegal immigration.

But Todd Brachman, an adjunct professor in the business school at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, said Miller wouldn't run a big risk by supporting Latinos on immigration.

"I seriously doubt that Miller is supporting illegal immigration," Brachman said.

i'm no longer able to drink plenty beer besides. too plenty sugar in it. as quickly as I do have one, I drink a lager with some style. My favorites are Sam Adams and Dos Eques amber. That stated, i'm going to be certain if i will detect a Millers "shopper remark" get admission to hyperlink on the internet, and if helpful, i'm going to place some comments there.

I think most beer would support aliens better than water. I think it has to do with density, unless the bubbles in the beer counter act the specific gravity of beer; in which case, I doubt any kind of alien, illegal or legal, would be able to float on a head of beer. What about little green men or did I misread your question?

What's wrong with a corporation spending its profits to promote its interests? Isn't that the First Amendment-protected "corporate free speech" that conservatives often rail about when arguing against campaign reform? By the same logic, they should also be chastised or boycotted for supporting or lobbying against environmental or labor regulations, which they do on a regular basis. Personally, I think that's their right, which is why I have some problems with some of the campaign reform proposals.

Why would Miller, ConAgra, ADM, Tyson, or any other agribusiness or food giant want to oppose illegal immigration anyway? The labor costs wind up in their product costs, and therefore cheap immigrant labor keeps their product costs down. Supporting the supply of low-wage immigrants is certainly in their corporate interest.

Also, don't illegal immigrants and other legal immigrant latinos who may identify or sympathize with them constitute a valid demographic consumer group that Miller might want to please? Should they be able to donate freely to, say, a "Moral Majority" rally to please rural southern customers but not to one that might please latino immigrants?

Good for the goose, good for the gander, no?

Michelle Malkin is, charitably speaking, a rabble-rousing demagogue who makes her living by shrilly alarming many otherwise sensible and thoughtful people of a conservative outlook. She, like her pals Coulter, Limbaugh, Hannity, and their ilk, are just as big in the Cynical Hypocrisy Department as their favorite targets like Hollywood liberals or black "community activisits" like Jackson and Sharpton. All of the above have a right to their opinions but I think they jump way past the point of sincere belief just to sell books or inflate ratings and egos.

Do you think Ann Coulter's next non-bestseller will be titled "Why Liberals Eat Babies"? Do you think it will keep it out of the remainder bins down at the Barnes and Noble? ;-)

Edited to add:

Good to hear the real story posted subsequently. By the mention of Michelle Malkin I should have known that reality differed significantly from her "report". Nice catch almost3AM!

Edited to add the Miller statement on this issue:

Miller Brewing Company Official Statement to Immigration Issue
Miller Brewing Company has never supported illegal immigration and we have always supported the full enforcement of current U.S. laws.

Miller did not sponsor the Labor Day immigration march held in Chicago.

Going forward, Miller will closely review all requests for support from community and charitable organizations to ensure that we are not indirectly funding or associating our name with advocacy efforts on the immigration issue.

We plan to stick to the business of brewing, marketing and selling great beer.

So, they never supported the actual group they're accused of supporting, except in the indirect sense of supporting a workshop on how "illegals" could apply for citizenship, but they have decided they need to be more careful of PR. Looks like another victory for the uninformed over the rights of individuals to speak their minds. Nice job Michelle, you must be proud!

Say, did you know that Proctor and Gamble is run by SATANISTS!

Let's all boycott their problems until they give all their money to Jerry Falwell as penance.

Yes, I was aware of that. It seems like more and more big companies are too willing to sell out America. What a shame.

Thanks for posting.

Where is a link to where they are supporting illegal immigration? Their press release says they're in favor of legal immigration and they deny supporting illegal immigration.
