My daughter fell off of her bike and now that it's healing it's leaving a very ugly scar on her leg. I used Neosporin while it was healing but it didn't do much.

Have her take vitamin E about 400IU once daily. Also you can open the vitaminE capsule and apply directly on the scar, you should start seeing results in a week or so. Give her a dose of vitamin C also it helps in repairing tissue and cells.

Bio-oil is meant to be very good for scars as it contains the special ingredient 'PurCellin Oil', which coats the skin with a thin protective layer asisting the penetration of the other more common natural oils that Bio-Oil contains: Lavender, Calendula and Rosemary Oil

Use a small drop on the scars once or twice daily for 3 months

Available from most consmetic shops or www.bio-oil.info

You can use Mederma for scars it works beautifully; my daughter used it a that he recommendation from our dermatologist for very deep stretch marks due to her rapid breast growth. It really did work. I understand there is a Mederma for children that have used this product after a wound has started to heale in order to decrease the size, and noticeable of the scar on the part of the body that has been injured. I can say that this stuff really does work. No Prescription necessary. If I hadn't seen it work for myself I wouldn't recommend it. I am also a nurse so the product made a believer out of me.

Try not giving your daughter a complex. As she grows up everything that happens to her will make her feel ugly. Come on, tell her everyone is beautiful no matter what scars they have. I am a beautiful woman and I have a thorocotomy scar on my side. Get over it.

it is well known here in england, that you can rub lard or fatty oils into the scar. this will help reduce the appearence of it and eventually blend it into the skin. do this twice a day, for about two to three weeks. Josh.

Its kind of expensive... but at many stores they have kits to remove scars. I'm not sure of how well they work, but it's always worth a try!
