So I am a guy, and my best friend happens to be a chic. We've known each other for like time immemorial, and have always been close. She has had boyfriends in the past, and I've seen her break up with them, and I have always been there to console her. She is like the best thing that has ever happened to me, she is like my other half, but here's where the problem is coming in.
I am falling for her. In the recent past, all I think about is her. I can't control me feelings for her and I just want her to be with me. I am afraid of telling her, because I donno what her reaction is going to be. Someone please advice me.

It sounds like you are really great friends and that would be a shame to lose it if she doesn't feel the same way. I would either playfully hint about hooking up or try to be more flirty...Don't go too far with it, but just enough to see if she does the same. If she encourages the behavior and mimics it then she may be interested as well. If she doesn't then she might not be on the same page as you, but at least you would know without throwing it all out there. Just keep being the supportive person you are and she will come around one day. Having someone like that in her life isn't going to come often and she will want to keep you around. =)

That is so sweet and odds are she feels the same if you feel so much. Friendships often turn into the best loves ever. I don't know if you should outright declare your feelings suddenly and scare her. Be flirtacious with her or just do little subtle thinks to drop the hint and play off her reaction before you make a decision. Don't ignore your feelings though and don't throw the friendship away if she doesn't feel the same. That doesn't mean she never will. Good luck!!!

I think you need to tell her. If you don't, you're going to keep torturing yourself. I had a good guy friend of mine fall for me too and he told me, but I didn't look at him like that, even though I always wanted to talk to him and hang out with him, it was just a friends thing. Signs she just looks at you as a friend would be if she talks about other guys to you and how she reacts when someone asks if you two are "together". I would always jump up and be the first one to say no, we're just friends, when someone would bring it up. If she hesitates or waits for you to answer, she might feel teh same. I have been on both sides of this one before. Right now I am in love with my best guy friend and trying to figure out if he likes me or not. But you have to tell her and realize that if she doesn't like you like that, you might have to end the friendship. But never knowing is always worse.

You know if you tell her and she doesn't feel the same way, your friendship is over, but if you don't tell her and you've been acting all weird around her, you friendship may be over anyway. I think maybe you should get someone else involved. Maybe a trusted mutual friend to drop some possible romance scenarios about you and see how she responds. If the friend comes back with a definite no then you may have to take a break from her to get yourself under control, but if its a yes...WooHoo!

Thnk about this, its a fact that 99.9 percent of all relationships that start Friends first, have a good out come to it. Meaning, if they get married or something like that, they will not divorce. IF you like this girl, and you want her to be with you, then go after her. remember you only have one life to live and make it worth your wild, I learned along time ago, that you cant let moments like this pass by. If she is your half and your serious about your friend ship, THEN DONT PASS THIS UP, go for it!

She probably has fallen for you too but is afraid to lose you if things go bad. After all, aren't you the one she turns too when things go bad? Invite her over to watch "When Harry met Sally" and watch her reaction. She may be more open to dating you than you think.
Good Luck!
Every woman dreams of marring their best friend- I hope it works out for you.

I have been thru this years ago with my male best friend. You need to be honest with her and let her know how you feel, she might return your feelings and she might not but let her know that no matter what you still want to be friends,at least once you get your feelings out you can either get together or move on , at least you will know where you stand

well you sound just like me, in fact exactly like me all i can say is keep your friendship strong and keep her trust in you strong dont put all your eggs in one basket she may want a relationship with you and she may not, let her know how you feel but let her know you care about you friendship and you dont want to ruin it either. one day shell make her choose or not but you still will be friends at least. sorry man it sucks i know but imagine you life without her before you force somthing that might not be there.

It's better to let her know and to find out where she stands. Who knows she might feel the same as you. If not you can still be friends and you should seek out other girlfriends.
