Straighten it before you put it into a pony. I do know what you mean. I use a ceramic flat iron and I have thick, wavy/curly hair...I know that when it is completely straight it appears much less thick and when it is in a pony it is bouncy! Good Luck!!

I think your best bet would be to put curlers in your hair overnight. In the morning your hair will be really curly and all you need to do is wet the front part a bit and pull it into a pony and very lightly tease the pony so the curls stick out. I do that for my girls all the time. Prayers =)

Straighten your hair first, run a bit of serum through it then put into a pony tail using a thin band.

Straighten all of your hair to get it looking it's thinest. Make sure you use a thin bobble and tie it up a little above half way up the back of your head, this helps it bounce. You could also add a flick at thebottom for the traditional pony tail look.

straighten it first and hang off the edge of your bed when you're putting it up into a pony so its easier to do a high pony tail!

you can straight it first, and then take it on a pony tail, put on some serum, shinning serum on it, that way will look thinner and bouncy, and voilá.

i dont now prop but you can buy pony tail bubbles with fake hair like that from claire's for about £2 and you can just pop it in, instead for spending hours.
