I found photos of my boyfriends ex inside his closet, and they were seperated from the other photos of friends, family..He says that when he broke up with her, he just didnt wanna throw them away cause they are just photos?? Is it really that simple? We are in a serious relationship for two years, but they were dating for 4 years , three years ago. I believe he has no more feelings for her, but I just wanna tell him to get rid of them!!! Am I being stupid and paranoid???

If you want to trust your boyfriend, then trust him 100%. Don't have second thoughts or be suspicious from time to time, otherwise you will be the one suffering.

It was probably an important time in his life and although he feels no less about you he may like a momento of that time. That is not to say he would want to go back with her, she is probably not the same person he remembered.

Enforcing him to get rid of them may only cause a rift that was uneccessary and may have ramifications in the future even if it is only to throw at you in the middle of an arguement.

Being sentimental is not a passport to disaster unless you ake it one.

Keep smiling

Let him keep his photos. It makes you look bad if you make him get rid of them. They are only pictures, and they can do no harm unless he is holding a torch for his ex. In any event , How he feels in his heart isn't going to change simply by getting rid of the pictures. Trust his love for you.

well a four year relationship is a long one and memories are still there, and always will be,, but he's been with you 2 years now and he should have got over it. photos are not a good thing of ex's
if he loves you, then he should get rid of them. and keep ones of you instead.
bit dodgy there ???

Let him keep the photos. I have photo albums with piccies of summer holidays with my old boyfriends, you keep them because the person means nothing anymore but they are nice times to remember, you wouldnt throw out piccies of an old friend say if you fell out with them.

I think it's no big deal unless you make it one.

My g/f has pics of her ex and i told her that she shouldn't throw them because they are part of her past, part of what made her the woman she is.

He will always have memories of her, how are you going to get rid of them?
I think this is all about insecurity and i think you should should be more worried about the women he has yet to meet rather than one he split up from.

Well....I personally would not be a grown up......if he has photos of an ex girlfriend.........start taking out your photos of your ex's...and see how he reacts....not good I'll bet, and then tell him that's how you feel. If knowing how you feel he still holds onto them.....well, whooops !did I just drop that on the fire ?....oh clumsy me !

I think you are overreacting! They are just pictures! The memories he has with this girl will last him forever. She was part of his life for four years. She helped make him who he is today. He is no longer with her, so I mean really, why be so petty and jealous?

I wouldn't be too hard on him. Even when relationships end, if you have any feelings, you still want to hold onto good memories. You need to talk to each other.

tell him how the photos make you feel and see if you can come to an agreement about what to do about them.
