I was born on December 28.

It's really great being born in December. Because of this, winter is my favorite season. I love the fact that I have no school and sometimes, no work on my birthday and that I get tons of presents all at one time.

One thing you have to be really careful of is buying combination gifts (Christmas/Birthday). This has never happened to me, but people always ask, doesn't that suck? And, I can imagine that it would.

Another downfall is the fact that while the child is young, birthday parties may be an issue as most people go out of town around the Christmas holiday. A lot of the kids you invite to the party may not be able to attend.

One of the positives though, is that you if you're family comes from far away, and they visit for Christmas, the child will be able to get to spend his birthday with his extended family, and that can be a lot of fun.

My mom is born on December 24, so it's nice sharing a birthday with her and Jesus!

My advice to you would be just let things happen naturally. No matter when the baby is born, just hope that it is healthy, happy, and sleeps through the night.

I am a December baby. I was born on the 20th. Yeah, it is a bad time to have a birthday because everyone is thinking about Christmas. I rarely got birthday and Christmas gifts. But, if you got money like that then it don't matter that they are born near Christmas.

It is a bad time of the year to have a birthday. Let see, people buy you one gift and claim it is for both Christmas and your b'day. It is usually to cold to do anything fun, plus everyone is to broke to do anything with you on your birthday because they are saving for Christmas or it is already spent. Every weekend in Dec. is pretty well all filled with work parties, get together, but not a weekend for your birthday. I really don't like having my birthday in December anyway for these reasons.

I think December babies are born after November and before January. It does not matter when they are born, the time of year does not determine anything about the child.

my youngest son was born 3 day after christmas and my brother was born on the 31st of december. it's harder to have parties for my son because people are broke around that time of the year
on the good side...december babies are the sweetest things ever. my son makes sugar look sour. maybe because boys are sweeter by nature but i think that being a dec. baby has alot to do with it

My birthday is December 16th.
Having a birthday that close to Christmas stinks.
People often forget your birthday.
If they do remember it, you may get a "combination Christmas/bday gift" or they may wrap your birthday gift in Christmas paper.
I had a friend was was born December 30th. NO ONE ever remembered her bday since it was right between Christmas and New Years.

I was due on Dec. 25. My mom had me by choice on the 20th. It's not to bad. The only one to ever give me the "combined" gift was my dad (parents were divorced and only saw him once around that time). I like my birthday. December is no different that any other month that has a holiday.

My baby was born Nov 7, 04 and I think her b-day is too close to x-mas! I think mar-jul is good if I had to choose. My son is a July baby but we live in AZ so the end of the pregnancy is misserable because July is like 110-120 degrees out here!

My son's birthday is November 1st and my daughters birthday is January 15th. So one right before, one right after. I think it will be harder for us to save up for the parties considering Thanksgiving and Christmas are smack in between their birthdays!

My husband and I decided that we would not do a whole lot for their birthdays though. We would just like small birthdays. A nice family dinner together, take them to a movie, or something small like that. Bake them a cake and get them like two gifts.

Birthdays don't have to be huge. I always had small ones growing up and they meant more to me. My nephew and niece always have a big huge party and get a ton of gifts like it is Christmas time. Their birthday's don't mean anything to them besides toys, toys, and more toys.
