It is a little talked about nowdays thing called "consequences". It means that (as crazy as it seems) people are actually to be held accountable for their actions. Once they have been warned that certain actions will have certain consequences, and they choose to do it aways, then the consequences will follow.
To say God is wrong for holding people responsible for their actions, would be like blaming a police officer because after someone robbed a store, shoot and killed the clerk, pistol whipped a little old lady to steal her car, drove it down the wrong side of the expressway at 120 mph forcing people in the ditch and causing a dozen accidences, including crippling a child for life and killed the child's mother, that awful office had a temper tantrum and (shock and horror) arrested the guy. Such childish behavior on the policman's part.

have you ever attempted to create something, oh--let's say a clay pot for instance and found out later that there was a pinhole in it when you tried to use it, you may at some time want to discard of it, even break it.
