I recently got two crowns put on the upper back teeth, and now I have pain on the teeth around them and on my bottom teeth whenever i eat or drink something that is hot or cold. did the crowns cause this? and how can I get rid of the pain? thanks!

The crowns should prevent this

Either the crowns have not been properly positioned and stuff is getting into the tooth or there is an abscess underneath it that is still causing problems.

Take pain relief (paracetamol/acetaminophen or clove oil) and see your dentist

Get back to your dentist as early as possible.There may a marginal leakage or the contact between upper and lower teeth might not be proper. These defects will have to be corrected by the dentist .Till then avoid hot and cold drinks.Paracetomol will give temp relief.

Go back to your dentist and make him fix the problem.The crowns are not placed right.Meanwhile,use toothpaste for sensitive teeth and rub baby teething gel on the problem area

your teeth will be sensitive for a while... try orajel. if the pain lasts for longer than 3 mos... see your dentist.

Well you should go back to your Dentist and let your Dentist know about the problem so he can fix it for you
