I am realizing that just because I am a christain that life is not a free pass and that bad things happen in life even though you may do things right and follow God.

But I do I get over and get through the trials and realize that GOd is not singling me out.

What are ways you deal with trials and dissapointments.

I am a firm believer that what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger--wish I knew who it was that originally said that...?

My best friend tells me "This too shall pass..." unfortunately she has never told me how long that will take lol!

When dealing with trials & tribulations I always ask Jesus what is the best decision I can make...usually I get the answer.

Trials and disappointments come in every Christians life. The way I deal with them is with gratitude. I am going to deal with persecution from the world. And if I am getting persecuted by the world then I must be doing something right.

The other analogy is that of a boxer. Every time a boxer is knocked down he gets back up and gets back in the fight knowing what knocked him down the last time. So in turn he looks for that in order for him not to fall for it again. But alas, we will get knocked down again, but we will also get back up. We have God in our corner, so there is no competition that the world can throw at us.

Remember that God is in control and will work all things for good for those that love Him (Romans 8:28). Also, know that the bad times are usually the ones that draw you closest to God.

My experience with Christianity has helped me develop a philosophy of always striving, always getting up and dusting yourself off, do for others, everything happens for a reason.

I have developed an image of Jesus that is more of a big brother who loves me unconditionally and helps me see the brighter side of things and what is important in the long run.

Purists may say I'm whacky but I have led a very happy, very successful and very fun life.

It is not easy but if you can get a grasp of Romans 8:28 you will be OK

Romans 8:28 ALL THINGS work together for good to them that love the Lord and are the called according to his purpose.

I HAVE FOUND AFTER YEARS OF FOLLOWING CHRIST THIS SCRIPTURE IS TRUE EVEN WHEN HARD TO UNDERSTAND.

Well the ways I get through it is by reading my bible, praying and just being patient and waiting to hear his voice. I can never get tired of waiting to hear him, because he was never tired of waiting when he really should have thrown me out in the dust. The bible says when I want to do good evil is always present. But you see God didn't get tired of us when we weren't doing good. Just think of like this. Jesus I am going to wait on you patiently, I am ready and committed to do your will and hear your voice.

But you also have to remember that what you are going through might just be a test. God might just be testing your faith so you have to "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong." (1 Corinthians 16:3)
