My office is giving me a Toshiba 42" TV. Model 36HF71. Chassis Type TAC0131. It has problems. Lines going across the screen. The system is discontinued but I still want to fix it. Looking for a repair expert on this model.

i think its from the screen grid.lines horizontally seen on the screen.this occurs when the g2 encountered an abnormal voltage supply.somtimes an open resistor or bias.thus resulting to an insufficient power supply.this must be serviced and calibrated by a real tv technician who has the knowleged in repair.good luck... sounds like eithera faulty screen control on the flyback transformer. or if could be a bad color amp on the CRT board. if it only has lines at the top of the screen than its a vertical deflection problem.
