How can we show our in laws This in a loving godly manner?

As I posted I will be living with my inlaws with my husband temporarily. what are ways we can show that we are cababple of handling ourselves and what are ways we can bless our in laws and respect thier space? I want as little friction as possible because we do want to be a blessing to them and show them we are adults and can handle ourselves as well.

Do chores around the house for them without being asked, like mow the lawn, clear the table and do the dishes. It means more than you think, because children expect everything to be given to them free. Adults pull their own weight.
