1. Never listen to your heart. If you do you'll have massive physiological problems for it has no mental capacity.
2. Always listen to your brain, it has the most experience with dealing with problematic situations.
3. Increase communication at all times, communication is the best foundation for a solid relationship.
4. Never do anything you don't want to do.
5. Love is a fickle thing, rather then trying to understand it just try and classify yourself as happy or unhappy, this will help your brain to make its choices clear.
6. Have fun, not many people will stay with their first love forever, its a learning curve, something that gets better with experience.

Be polite,patient,considerate. Most important be gentle and do not rush. Be your natural self.Put ons won't work for long.Plan your outing well. Reserve your seats in advance have enough margins to reach on time and so on. Basic idea of dating is to have good time. So must enjoy your day out.
