My worst accident was last night, I was vacuuming and my ten month old daughter loves to chase the vaccum. I always look out before pulling the vacuum back, but last night I didn't. I brought the vacuum back and ended up smacking my daughter right in the face with it. At first I thought it as just a minor bump, then I saw the blood. The vacuum had cut her cut her lip, nose, and right below her eyebrow line. She freaked for a few minutes then was fine. But I was not. I felt horrible for not looking. Anyone else care to share their accidents with your kids?

when my daughter was about 6 months old she fell out of a shopping trolley, right on the floor on the supermarket. it was the most horrific feeling seeing her fall to the floor without being able to grab her before she hit. she was fine, but my husband and i were a complete wreck and felt so bad. never again will i put her in a trolley without using a safety harness

The worst accident with my son wasn't really my fault but I still feel like it was to this day. I had my sister come in to watch him while I ran for a diaper but she turned away and he fell off my bed which is about 4 ft high and he was only a week old. I was so furious and felt like I should have known better. He only cried for a couple minutes but I still took him to get checked out at the hospital. He was just fine but it was scary. I think the worst accident I seen with my nephew was completely his own clumsiness. He was running around the house after he was told not to and out of nowhere he tripped over his feet and went flying in the air, hitting a hard wood table chair with his chin and forehead. It looked like he was trying to do a backflip off a diving board but on a chair. His face got swollen and he cried for about 10 minutes before passing out. Needless to say we took him to the e.r., surprisingly he was just bruised up, no concusion or anything. They said he just passed out from pain and shock. He was all better in a week. He doesn't like to run in circles around the house anymore.

I know you are talking about small children but you asked for the worst. It is a parents nightmare getting that 2 in the am phone call telling you that your son was in a car accident and had to be flown via helicopter to a hospital 25 miles away. Broke my heart seeing him in the intensive care unit hooked up to the breathing tube and all kinds of needles in his arm. I cannot tell you the thoughts that ran across my mind and I thank God that he pulled out of it.

ok i have one that takes the cake. My 6yr old daughter and i were leaving our home. We took my husbands work truck it was an old rackety ford that made lots of noise when you drive. I was in a hurry and jumped in, i told her to jump in the front seat and did not belt her in. After getting off the freeway and stopping at a red light i turned left. I had the music turned up loud and was dancing away I could hear mommy, mommy, as i looked over the passenger door had swung open and my daughter was hanging from it. I pulled over and hugged her i felt like crap. luckily her window was down for her to hold on, luckily the door did'nt open on the freeway, I should have put her in her seat w/ belt. You probably feel pretty bad just keep in mind even if she was bleeding she does'nt feel 1/2 as bad as you do.

Well I'm not a parent, but many years back my kid brother whose 12 now, we were in Disney World, at the breakfasts. My brother who was 2 at the time, was playing with my little sister, whose a few year older them him. They were chasing each other around. Well then my brother fell. His his head and cried.

So my dad went to pick him up to help calm him down. Well several second later, my brother went dead silent. No crying, no nothing. His eyes rolled back.

The restaurant called 911 and they came and took care of my brother. I was 12 at time and I was freaked out by the whole thing, but he ended up being fine and we were able to take him back to the hotel.

My worst accident was maybe like a year ago. I had my daughter in her high chair. I know i was supposed to strap her on, since she stands up in her chair, and i didn't. I was told by several family member that one of these days she was going to fall but i didn't really pay much attention since i was always around her while she was in her high chair. One day I walked away to answer a phone call and when i looked around she was falling on the floor. I felt so bad, cause my i was careless (and i have ceramic floor). She had a big huge red bumb in her forehead for a couple of days

My worst accident with my child was that we were out on the front of our house and we have two sets of step. one as soon as you come out the door and a set at the bottom of the walk way. Well at the time my toe was broken and my husband had went down to the bottom of the second set of steps. My 2yr old at that time tried to get to her dad. And felt and bust head wide open. I was terrified I did'nt know what to do. And my husband was crying so hard. But she made out. it took along time for it to heal but now you can't even see where it was at.

My son at 3 y/o. Fell in a parking lot, hit his mouth on a concrete sidewalk, busted his top lip and got 13 stitches, he had to have plastic surgery at 4 y/o. My son was always hitting his head, getting stitches and going to the ER. That was the worst one though. He has outgrown it klutziness now.

well...my youngest son had a self inflicted accident. he was at his grandma's house and was running from his cousins for fun. at full speed, he was running down the hall. he turned and looked to see if they were still behind him, when he turned to face straight, he went SMACK into the wall. I got a call at work. was told my son was in the ER. I went to get him. he looked just fine with a itty bitty band aid. Took him to his doctor to get stitches. Doctor took off the bandage, touched the wound and blood started gushing out. he looked like oscar de lahoya with a huge slit over his eyebrow!!! i started to get hysterical. doctor had me removed from the room. but my son never cried.

then there was a time with my oldest. as i was closing a car door, he was reaching through the door to open another door. and i slammed the door on his arm. i cried so hard. he had no broken arm, no bruising. it was just painful. i kept checking. within minutes he was fine and was ready to leave. but i was still hysterical.
