In hinduism and other Eastern religions they say everyone is god what if they are right?

Vedanta says that everything is God, but God is not those things. It's like the difference between a wave and the ocean; all of the waves are ocean, but the ocean is not just the waves. The yogic practices are said to help you realize you are water, then that everything is water. Once this is actualized, you have realized your oneness with the divine, and can direct all of the water. Jesus and Buddha, etc, are thought to have simply accomplished this level of realization.

Daniel C, neal s, gave you a good answer.JESUS and others teach that "GOD DWELLS WITHIN YOU AS YOU",awake to your on inner spiritual self. I have experienced that i am, UNCONDITIONAL LOVE,I have a oneness with GOD who is UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. the mind cannot know the allness of GOD,go into your HEART and get your own experience then you will know for certain. SEE ephensians 2-22 & 4-4/6 PS why should I walk on water,I have boats.

hinduism does not say that everyone is god...hindusim says that god is inside everyone....or a part of god like influence resides in the soul...
it is the guiding force in you....and tells you what to do when things go wrong and further more is your conscience....
you are not god according to hinusim, but god is a part of you...

Well, in places where monotheism is not practiced then you can fing "God" everywhere. You may just call it something else, like father, spirit, feelings, vibe, string theory, money etc.

We're all in GOD's image and since we're all GOD's creations I believe that would qualify us as being PART of GOD but not GOD.
