I make it and I know that it's easy to make but I'm looking for ways that other people make it because I love it so much and need a little change. Thanks.

American Chop Suey

1 pound lean hamburger
2 medium onions [sliced]
2 cans Campbell's condensed tomato soup
1 pound lean bacon [cut in small pieces]
2 green peppers [optional]
Black pepper to taste

Directions:

Fry bacon until golden brown. Add onions and continue to cook approximately 5 more minutes. Now, add hamburger and continue cooking until hamburger browns. Stir in two cans of Campbell's tomato soup and two cans of water (add chopped green peppers). Add black pepper to taste. Let mixture simmer 30-45 minutes.

Meanwhile, boil a pan of water, add salt and very little oil to water. Add proper amount of elbow macaroni (1 to 1 1/2 lbs) and cook until tender. Drain and rinse macaroni and add Chop Suey mix. Stir well.

I always make my chop suey using mac and cheese as the base. Follow the directions on the box. While the pasta is cooking, I brown some burger, maybe some onion. I drain my pasta then put it back in the same pot for making the cheese because of the leftover heat. Add the burger then add a can of drained stewed tomatoes (you can get the kind with herbs already added), break up the tomatoes cause they'll be pretty chunky. Taste and season, you'll probably need salt.

When noodles are done, drain thoroughly and return noodles to the pot. Add the hamburger mixture from the skillet to the pot. Mix well and season with salt and pepper to taste.
