I respect my boss very much. She is a role model for me! She's very stern when she needs to be and laid back when she needs to be. She has the ability to relate to her workers and also lead the way and be a true supervisor.

I neither respect or despise my boss. My boss is a black female. She's ignorant, loud, and unprofessional. You know, the things that we are stereotyped as being everyday. Everyone hates her. She's an embarrassment to me and my other black co-worker. I work for a predominately white company, with mostly men. I hate to say, but she had to get the position because of Affirmative action or something because she honestly has no clue. I'm not hating on her, I just wish she could uplift us instead add to what our counter-parts already think of us. I mean it's already hard for a black person in the corporate world.

I hate to say this, but I pretty much despise the ground my boss walks on. And, I have plenty of company. He is a very cold-blooded person, who believes we aren't people with real lives, we're just workers. He can't be trusted any farther than you can throw him, and always tries to make many people who work for him look like worthless f*ck-ups.

He gets everyone excited about the monthly bonus built into our pay plans, but either the numbers jjjjust miss getting a bonus (month after month after month), or he makes up some rule where you won't get a bonus unless all the planets line up or something. I can honestly say I wish I had never MET this man, much less WORKED for him!

Karma is a b*tch though. The tables are starting to turn. Still, I just want out of there.

Okay, I have 2 bosses, but I will speak on the one I don't like all that much.

My boss is to laid back. Most people think he is so cool and how lucky we are to have him, but they don't see in from the inside of the office. He is all play and no work. He let's people get away with anything. He does not believe in displine and holding folks accountable. Which pisses me off. He also likes to blame mistakes on others and he will throw you out on a limb in a heart beat if that means covering his ***. Plus he doesn't really know his job all that well. He will sign things with out reading them and he is a total pushover. So I do not really care for him all that much.

I've had few bosses who I respected. Most people in authority do not know how to manage employees and think they have to be a tyrant or belittle people. I am female, but think females in authority are worse than male, as though they have something to prove. The more independent and self-sufficient a person is, the more difficult it will be to have a 'boss.'

I respect my boss even though I am old enough to be his mother. He knows so much about how to keep the place running and he never puts anyone down. He serious when he has to be and can have you rolling on the floor laughing when things are light.

I work at a law firm and I respect my boss. Granted I just started the job several weeks ago, I respect him because he doesn't expect me to do crazy stuff, and to fetch him coffee just because I'm the receptionist. Granted he's much more fun on our "office lunch outings," when it's someone's birthday or something, but I realize that he's just trying to get the job done.

I respect my boss. I've had several bad bosses, and she is the first decent boss I've ever had. She actually gives feedback and the occasional reward.
Yesterday she was in a minor wreck and she still came to work because she wasn't hurt and it wasn't fair to me to open by myself. She even works on Christmas and Thanksgiving (my company doesn't believe in families) because we all have to.
