The Boston City Council voted unanimously to pass a resolution in support of comprehensive immigration reform. The Council recognized the great contributions that immigrants regardless of status continue to make in the life of the City. The Resolution calls for humane and compassionate immigration reform that provides a path to permanent status for immigrants already here, with better legal channels for those coming in the future.

On December 16th the House passed by a 239 to 182 vote, the Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act (H.R. 4437), sponsored by James Sensenbrenner (R-WI), and Peter King (R-NY). The reactionary bill demands unreasonable enforcement procedures while addressing none of the real issues concerning the millions of undocumented men and women who make up over 5% of the US workforce. The bill makes unauthorized presence an "aggravated felony,” classifying 11 million people, including children, as criminals. An estimated 3 million US citizen children could lose their parents to arrest and deportation.

Hmmm, It really depends on what your opinions are on many issues. I would suggest you to learn the bill yourself instead of asking other people, or you will be voting for them not yourself
