If you are talking dill pickles they are just cucumbers that had a strong salt water and vinegar bath. The biggest problem is that there is enough salt in them that you quickly go over the max salt you should eat for a day (or maybe a week if you really love them). If they are sweet pickles they are even worse for you because they also have a lot of fattening sugar.

Since pickles are "cured" in vinegar, they have absolutely no vitamin benefit or nutritional value. They're packed w/ sodium for sure...
