visa- port of exit and entry???

If I (Indian national) get visa of Germany from Japan, can I fly to Germany from India. Or do I necessarily need to fly from Tokyo/ Narita? Does the visa mention 'port of entry' and 'port of exit'?

dognhorsemom is correct i had many visa to different countries and non specified that i had to use any specific port for entry or exit get there the best way you know how

Read the visa. If it specifies a port of entry, then use that port of entry. Otherwise, you can go to Germany using any routing you can devise.
