I make flyers and brochures for my company, and I have a pc. I currently use Microsoft Publisher, which is very limited. I'm not a graphic designer by trade, but with a small company, you sometimes wear many hats. I believe I can do much better work with another program that actually allows me to edit graphics and has more backgrounds, etc. Also, I want to stay in the few hundred dollars range. HELP! Also, does anybody know a website where I can get free, good graphic design tips? Thanks!

it is no longer lots the time-honored of the climate besides the fact that Macs out of the field do use sturdy high quality areas, it is the working gadget, it is stability, reliability and secure practices which nevertheless provide Macs the earnings. Having labored in the Print commerce in layout and the shop floor there's a different feeling of "activity achieved" with a Mac. As for compatability issues i found little hardship with the place of work part and it became into uncommon, aside from the occasional snaphot and evidence despatched to shoppers that a computer became into ever mandatory. no longer anly have desktops come an prolonged way in the previous 10 years yet so has the Mac and doubtless the version is now no longer so great there continues to be a marked distinction whilst it comprises publishing such as cyber web publishing. For the previous twelve months I even have been experimenting with Linux structures, Macs use one in each of those Unix besides, and have been pleasantly greatly surprised with it is skill for image and multi-media layout besides the fact that to declare this is a splash rougher than the different 2 OS's is a sarcasm besides the fact that it could breach the divide between the two interprettating living house windows and Mac information it is why many companies use Linux servers. an elementary question: How many times have you ever heard of a Mac having an entire gadget give way in comparison with living house windows, and that i do no longer think of Vista is going to be any better even although they have tried to make it greater Mac like.

Also consider Paint Shop Pro- it's considerably less expensive than Photoshop and has 95% of the features. Some digital imaging pros actually prefer it, since it's easier to use!
