I feel your pain, I once had the same issue with this dude Dave, he didn't know how to pick up on the signals and I couldn't get rid of him. He was so needy and such an awful kisser, sadly I can never forget him cos of that! The last time I saw him I insisted we go home early from a jazz gig so I could hook up with my friends and go back with them. He dropped me off at my varsity residence and watched through the windows of reception to make sure I went to my room! Only after my friends pulled out the driveway (where his car was too) and he saw I wasn't with them did he leave. Meanwhile, they went around the block and came back to pick me up! He tried to call me a few times but I just ignored the calls (they came through to the student public phone downstairs and I'd be called on the intercom to go get it). Anyway, long story to say I never had the balls to tell him to sod off. I should have cos years later it turned out he was close to another friend of mine and I ran into him at her bday party. thank goodness I had my boyfriend with me at the time. It's best to be courageous and tell the guy that he's nice but he's not what you're looking for. Good luck
