Take her to the vet immediately. It is unlikely but possible that she could have a serious problem, such as Parvo. I hope your puppy is okay.

first thing it could be the food if you changed it, could be table scraps if it is getting them. even some chews may be causing the vomiting. THen there are more things to worry about like an blockage from what he shouldn't have ate.

What time of the day is it? how long has it been between meals? what color is it? Could be acid reflux from not being fed close enough together.

Does he also have bowel problems along with vomiting? where did you buy the pup? shot record? You could be dealing with parvo as well.

She needs to get in, and I would say sooner than later. Tell your vet of choice about the vomiting and take the pups temp cause that will be asked as well. It goes up the bum for a minute for the murcery ones or till it beeps for digital.

How is the water intake? if very low start giving pedialyte un-flavored to keep the pup hydrated in the mean time

Good for you for making a quick appointment with your vet.

Vomiting in puppies can be caused by a variety of things including intestinal parasites, Parvo, HGE and other nasty diseases. Take a sample of the dog's poop with you when you go to the vet, as this will give him a clue as to what exactly is upsetting your pup's stomach.

In the meanwhile, you can restrict the pup's diet. Feed it a mixture of boiled rice and hamburger. This will fill the pup up and help to calm down the puppy's digestive tract.

Make sure that it's properly hydrated, too. Puppies that vomit a lot lose a lot of body fluids and can become severely dehydrated very quickly. To test to see if your pup is properly hydrated, pull up the skin on the nape (back) of its neck between your fingers and then release the skin quickly. If it snaps back into place quickly, the dog is properly hydrated. If the skin goes back into place very slowly or not at all, the dog is dehydrated and needs fluids immediately. You can give it some Pedialyte to help boost its fluid and electrolyte levels.

Have you changed her diet from what she was eating before you got her? Is she eating a lot all at one time or do you split her meals up during the day? Lots of things can make puppies vomit. If she has no signs of diarrhea, lethargy, fever, she's running around happy and playful, I wouldn't worry too much about Parvo, but if you notice any other symptoms, it could be very serious. Being too active right after eating, eating too much at once, changes in diet or too many variables in the diet can all cause vomiting. If she goes outside and eats grass or leaves, if she gets in the trash or eats pieces of random stuff lying around the house, foreign bodies stuck in the GI tract can cause vomiting. The best advice for now, until you get to the vet, is offer her a small amount (no more than 1/4 cup on the high end) of something bland (boiled turkey and plain white rice) a few times a day. No treats, restrict activity before and after eating.

I have found that most pups throw up because they eat too fast and will not stop eating. It is probably that your pup was put on a very strict diet and that now it has been given too much food. Try cutting back tonight and see what happens. But the vet will be able to tell you the proper food and quantity.

You are doing the right thing by taking her to the vets. If she's running and playing and acting normal most of the time, I bet it's nothing serious. Good luck with your new puppy

I agree with alot said here. Just a little tip, that worked for me.... i had a little dog that had a big dog/garbage hound appetite- she'd get into the darnedest things!!! my mom suggested giving her scalded milk (cooled of course) and it worked every time.

if theres milk in the puppy food it could be lactose intolerant and causes them to throw up. or puppy could be getting to hyper after eating and could be getting an upset stomach

Get some Purina Beneful puppy or dog food. It's one of the few my dogs don't puke up.
