I believe that dogs are capable of love, but probably not like people. We tend to attribute human emotions to dogs based on visual cues that may be associated more with their pack behavior. Read an article the other day that stated that dogs' so-called love was really learned behavior to ingratiate themselves to the human "alpha dog" -- gee, I hope that's not true... If so, my dog is the exception!

Many animals love like humans do, it would be arrogant to think humans are the only ones who have feelings. Elephants even have a form of funeral for the deceased. Felines and canines will go into depressions when a family member (rather human or any creature for that matter) dies or disappears.
I could go on but this is a tender subject for me and I do not want to be offensive.

They love more than people.

We should take a lesson from them. We love under certain conditions, looks, finances, location, etc.

Dogs don't care what you look like, if you have money or if you are poor (they just need to be fed and taken care of properly), they don't care if you live on a farm or in the city.

They love unconditionally even the A$$holes who mistreat them.

All living creatures need and give love. For some it may be different in appearance, but basically it's the same.

They love better than people. Their love is unconditional, they love you through the good and the bad, and never betray your trust.
