I hAD A mri scan and dont understand what it means please could you explain in every day terms

The T1 and T2 are terms related to MR physics that are commonly used by radiologists, and don't mean much to anyone else. (I'm a radiologist). The lesion that is being described is a hemangioma in one of your vertebral bodies (your spine). It is a benign lesion, extremely common, and not to worry about.

I'm not sure what gives an increased signal intensity on T1 AND T2

Sounds like you have a lipo haemangioma in your L1 vertebral body

This is an abnormal collection of blood vessels and fatty deposits.

Perhaps if you copied out the report in full we could make more sense of it.
