My bridesmaids, and MOH are in a different town than I- So I thought about sending them a favor bag in the color i want their dresses(burgundy) and they can go find whatever style, budget, on their own time etc... Do you think it will be too difficult to find burgundy in northern california by oct.???

Not at all, those were my colors and I got married in October, they can try bridal shops but they should also try the stores in their local malls too. I live in Northern cal as well (the bay area) and my bridesmaids were able to find their dresses in a trendy store in the mall (Newpark mall in Fremont ) for about 45 bucks. Since it's a fall color it shouldn't be too hard to find - just ask them to go as a group to ensure they all get the exact shade of burgundy. The wedding gown superstore in Fremont is a great place to start- they have a lot of clearance gowns (my niece got her prom dress for 25 bucks) and they even have layaway so if they do find something they can put something down on it and come back in a few weeks instead of paying upfront. Sending them the color is a great idea that way they get the exact color you want. Check out the site below, they also have tuxedo rental and even offer alterations as well. I would try this place first then the Mall and if they still don't find anything then maybe David's bridal, there are alot of them in northern cal so it won't be hard to locate one - average price for David's bridal dresses are about 100-150 dollars. Good luck I'm sure you'll find something.

Not at all, that is what bridal and formal wear stores are there for. If they go to enough places, they can find one in stock even. If they can't find on in their size in stock at any stores, I'm sure that the stores can have one transferred at express orders if needed.
They can also have things delivered from an on line store, it takes about a week-10 days. Plenty of time for alterations.

The favor bag is a great idea, BTW. It lets them know exactly what color to look for, and gives them something to color match at the stores.

classic wedding ceremony ettiquette strongly discourages donning the two all-black or all-white clothing, as all-black is a demonstration of death and mourning, on a similar time as all-white is the colour the bride would be donning (considerable no-no to out-shine the bride!). Of the clothing you discribed, i've got faith the only with white floral print may be the main ideal on the "classic" wedding ceremony, through fact it rather is maximum probably a stable stability of the two hues. although, you probably did not say no count if the marriage became a extensive formal wedding ceremony or a small informal wedding ceremony. At small weddings, maximum traditions like that are thrown out the window through fact the couple is extra worried approximately your presence extremely than your cloth wardrobe. or maybe at great formal weddings, a tasteful dress it rather is all black or as a rule black with white is seen ideal. as long as you do not placed on all-white, you may desire to be wonderful. have exciting, and powerful good fortune with the bouquet toss! :-D

No, I think you'll be in good shape. Because you're getting into fall you should be finding a lot of dresses in that color. What's nice is because of that these women are not limited to just going to a bridal store. They can also go to a department store and look.

It could be. I remember my wedding disaster with girls. I had one girl that was unable to make it. My wedding was in June it takes 4 months for a dress to come in and for express it takes 2 months to come in and this was already the end of April and my wedding was the middle of June. We were really stressed but it came in and got it all fixed right. But if it is not in stock then it is probably too late to order it. So, the need to start looking, so you probably need to tell them to go ahead and start looking for a dress ASAP. Good luck!

I would have them check to see if there is a David's bridal shop out there in California. They can also check on line and see what store has the color.
