I am contradiction the level 2er and 3er who think they are being scientific and smart. I just called my dog and snaped my fingers above her head. she turned her head and eyes upwards to, get this, LOOK UP WHILE STANDING. Both my dogs can look up from the standing or sitting possition. So to all these people who say they can not look up when standing, I guess my dogs are uber special and should be in the guiness book of world records.
PIGS on the other hand find it physically impossible to look up but they are in no way related to a dog. not even close in the spelling.

They can, its a myth. Get your dog to stand and hold something above its head, it prefers to back up and sit but can look up. I'm lookiing at photos of my old dog doing it.

Where would you have gotten the idea dogs can't look up? Of course they can.

My dog looks up all the time. She watches birds and stuff... Where did you hear that?

they can, but only from a sitting position. the muscles in the front of their body cannot stretch in a certain way at standing or sitting still. If they do they have a sore neck for a while. Its just part of their anatomy. they have no predators that come from above so they dont need to be able to look up..

my dog looks up what do you think they do when they are sitting waiting for a treat looking up at you with those gorgous puppy dog eyes

Eh, mine does she has a fascination with aeroplanes and helicopters and looks up every time one flies over our house, are you thinking of pot dogs!
