I caught my boyfriend of a year cheating on me with a girl @ a party. when he gets around his friends, he acts like the typical jock (hes the qb of the football team), but when hes around me he doesnt act like that. We broke up about a month or so ago, and now he wants me back. hes left messages on my sidekick, hes emailed me, hes tried talking to me after school. He says he loves me, but how can i be sure he wont cheat on me again when hes out with his friends? should i give him another chance?

No trust me...He is in highschool for one so 99.9% of all highschool relationships don't work out anyways. Secondly if he cheated on you once then he is bound to do it again...also your gonna be paranoid for your whole relationship, probably to the point of never wanting him to hang out with his friends. So its gonna cause problems in ur relationship. So why bother with all that. Find someone else.

Sounds like the boy has some growing up to do. As I see it, he does seem to have potential (to be a good boyfriend), but not now. Not yet and maybe not with you. He is still too busy being a jerk. Guys are like that when they are young. On the other hand, you seem to be more mature and ahead in your development. So you would have to ask yourself, is this person good for me? Will he enhance me? Will he help me grow and advance in life? Are we a true match? So... yes, oh, and I almost forgot, by all means, do give him another chance. He is sweet, he tries to get you back, he deserves it.

If you're smart, you'd let that Rothenberger wanna be pee-pee in his pants for 3 or 4 more years. Then, if he's still trying to win you back, tell him, "maybe" and then wait another 5 years just in case, just to be sure.
But, if you find a better man in between that time, let mr. jock pump weights until his lip muscles pop off onto the floor. He cheated on yah. You don't reward guys who cheat on you. If you do, you are inviting him to cheat again. To a guy, if you hold back from him a year's penalty for cheating, he'll think, "hmm, a years, that's not long, I can have flings during that "rest period."
But if you make him suffer 10 years, then, he might actually begin to wonder if he was....well...WRONG, for what he done tuh yuh.

Well, if you wanted to get back to him, you could forward all the messages you are getting on your Sidekick to all of his friends/the whole school.
Besides that, one thing I've realized about some of my guy friends is it doesn't matter how hot or nice their girlfriend is, if they have cheated in the past, they will probably keep cheating.
I would recommend on passing; if you can get this guy, I'm sure you can get a lot others who won't cheat on you.

Don't go back to him. He had his chance and you can do so much better by finding someone that will never take you for granted. After high school, football players just dwell on the football they USED to play. Find someone that will be kind to you for the long term.
