Hhhhmmmm....wonder if it has anything to do with advertising their beleifs. What cracks me up is that homosexuals do the same thing with rainbows!!!! So, Christians and gays have more in common than Christians care to admit!

Actually, yes, I have seen cars going down the road with the star of David on them, I have also seen stickers hailing Mary, others praising Darwin, I have seen stickers from tree huggers and some Indian religion, I have seen a sticker for some newly popular religion that I cannot remember the name of but completely don't agree with.
There are stickers out there for all manner of religion and beliefs.
Why is it more people are offended by the fish than the pornography?? I mean even before I was a Christian, I did not care if my kids saw a fish on the back of a car, but man how many times I had to deal with naked ladies or suggsetive comments on the back of a car.
Yes , there is freedom of speech, everyone has a right to it, but let's be responsible with it , and have some respect for other people's children.
Anyway, the point is, just about everyone in one way or another advertises what the believe and maybe you are just not noticing them but the bumper stickers and symbols on cars are out there for just about every belief that is out there.

Well acctually I done I have seen a star of David on the BACK OF CARS. I live in a Jewish area you see. But as regards of the fish well it used to be used before the sign of the cross it was for the meeting place of early Christians it would be a sign that they would be meeting there that night so as to not allert the Romans to there where-a-bouts. It used to be called something like Ichtus. the way of the fish.
For sure other religions do not carry fishes but they do use there own signs may be you will them now that you have put your question on answers.
But try this web site http://www.aveyinc.com/fish.htm
ichthus, spelled: Iota Chi Theta Upsilon Sigma). That is an acrostic for "Jesus Christ, of God, the Son, the Savior" [Iesous (Jesus) CHristos (Christ) THeou (of God) Uiou (the Son) Soter (the Savior)]. An acrostic is an "arrangement of words in which the first letter of each line ordinarily combines with others to form a word or words or the alphabet."

No, I haven't seen any Star of David signs on the back of cars.
However, for Christians, the fish is significant. It represents one of Jesus' miracles- the loaves and the fishes.
When Christianity was illegal in the Roman Empire, Christians would draw a fish on the ground to signify their faith. If the other person also acknowledged the fish, they knew they could speak freely and found a mutual friend.
That's why you see the 'fish.'

I asked some thing on the fringe of this a 365 days in the past: I have been given a tremendous selection of replies... (see decrease than) Insulting parody or open assertion of theory? there is likewise one with the be conscious "Evolve" and the fish with legs is keeping a spanner, and many modifications on the subject. My vehicle is quite adorned with stickers from the overdue (or long gone covert) Schwa Corps, which take care of me against alien abduction. The quite humorous element is, some human beings think of i'm being severe.

Its a sign meant to say Jesus is the way rather than evolution. Darwinizm shows a big fish eating a small fish or a fish with legs. Christianity challenges the theory of Darwinizm.

No, but you may see a car with the Star of David hanging from the rear view mirror. People should be proud of who they are. One car may sport a fish symbol while another sports the fish with legs "Darwin" symbol. Adorning an automobile with rainbow colors signifies gay pride.
Our cars have consistently been a statement about who we are. They are an extension of the driver and an advertisement of the owner.

When Christians were persecuted in the Roman times, they were in hiding, but they used a drawn fish to let other Christians know who they were. They may have picked that symbol because of the legend of the loaves and fishes.

I've got one of those Darwin fish with the feet, if I see a car with a Jesus fish, I try to get in front of them. Christian legend has it that the greek letters for christ and fish are the same, so it was a convenient symbol for early christians, and also alludes to the miracle(s) of the fishes. There is of course a more historical take on it that Xians are unaware of...as usual...

Yes, I have seen cars with stars of David on the bumperstickers.
I have also seen Wiccan bumperstickers and Islamic ones.
Also many Buddhists seem to hang something from the rear view mirror.
