My husband is in the Navy and is currently deployed. He is telling me about training to be a spotter for a sniper and is going to be interviewed for the Flying Squad...can anyone tell me what exactly the Flying Squad is???

That means he and his sniper will be flying here and there to where a sniper is needed.

That is dangerous work, why couldn't he do something easy like disarm land mines?

BTW, he wouldn't be in the flying squad if he weren't a good team player for his sniper (even mules have to carry their weight and be super still and careful when the moment of the sale arrives), so don't worry about him, but you can be tremendously proud when he comes back home.

A Flying Squad is a mobile group of trained people (police or executives or officials) able to move quickly in the case of emergencies
