Because it's a great place to visit for anybody
Visit:
- the Blue Lagoon
- the remarkable geysers
- The church in Reykjavik
- the Atlantic coast in winter

Fly from Prestwick for a long weekend, or take a 4X4 drive around the coast

Iceland offers wide varieties of traditional cuisine. Þorramatur (food of the þorri) is the Icelandic national food. Nowadays þorramatur is mostly eaten during the ancient Nordic month of þorri, in January and February, as a tribute to old culture. Þorramatur consists of many different types of food, e.g. pickled ram's testicles, putrified shark, scorched sheep heads, scorched sheep's head jam, blood pudding and dried fish (often cod or haddock) with butter.

Because neither the kids nor Dad appreciates home-prepared food. The kids just eat and run and Dad eats his meal in front of the telly. Why should Mum spend hours in the kitchen when her labour is not appreciated? Actually, last time I was in England, self catering but didn't want to waste time in the kitchen, I was pleasantly surprised by ready meals from Iceland. Better than you get in medium priced restaurants.

When I was younger my mum used to go to Iceland as it was more acceptable to feed your kids frozen food back then and it was cheap. I used to love visiting there - oh the fond memories of sticking my head in the freezer!

I personally wouldn't shop there as I make 90% of my food and don't think that frozen food is the way to go. They have some cheap food there but they also have the good names too.

Kerry Katona has put me right off it though - eurgh!

It's an advertising ploy,to make you think that Mums actually DO go to Iceland,so other Mums will go too, because apparently there are already lots of Mums going there already.

Only rubbish mum's who aren't interested in their kids nutrition would go to Iceland. And then their kids end up hating vegetables. But vegetables are cheap and good for you so they can save you money and keep your kids slim. But they'd rather spend £2.99 on some reformed chicken burgers... yum!

In my opinion...

Iceland is full of cheap crap that's been frozen for years and I wouldn't let my kids eat it (suppose I'm gonna get sued now)
