has the bible been "proven time and time again"? I'd really love to know where all this proof is. The bible says that humans have only been around for 7,000 years, which clearly isn't the case. It the human population grew from incest, then was wiped out by a great flood in which a guy built a huge wooden boat which would be still be impossible today without using steel support beams (and he was 600 years old at that), then took his sons and their wives with two of each animal and then sailed around the world as it flooded, thus repopulating the earth again with incest. Yes, I'd love to see the proof that there's a heaven and hell, plus an invisible man in the sky with super powers. Also, how one walked on water. How one parted the sea. Etc.....

It goes on and on, I'd really like to know where these christians get the idea that reputable scientist actually say that little book is right.

That doesn't prove a thing. What about Adam and Eve? What about Noah? What about walking on water? What about talking snakes? What about god? What about jesus? What about dinosaurs? What about heaven? What about hell? What about hell being in the middle of earth?

Crazy, huh? All fairy tales.

You believe in a book that has talking animals, wizards, witches, demons, sticks turning into snakes, food falling from the sky, people walking on water, and all sorts of magical, absurd and primitive stories, and you say that we are the ones that need help? This is what Jesus was talking about when he said unless you be converted and become as a little child you shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven. He even told Thomas...put your finger in my side and be not faithless but believing. Many people have to see to believe but blessed are the ones that believe without seeing.

And for the Christians, you can add cannibalism (holy communion being the body and blood of Christ) and sadism (worshiping a man tortured and dying on a cross) and a perverse sexuality in that Christ is pictured almost naked with his genitals barely covered and blood running down his face - and - a puncture wound in his side made by a phallic-shaped spear.

The Bible was written by men who decided what to put in there. And a lot of what is written are parables and metaphores, not literal. I am not a christian by the way, but was brought up that way and left the church when I was a teenager.

It's called suspension of disbelief. If you can unquestionably believe the Bible, then you will unquestionably believe any propaganda fed to you about the Bible.

Logical if you think about it.
