I think it is a strong word to use the N word or make comments about them like in what they eat, or blame them for something,Or what they have. Not all people have money, And other people eat and have the same things as them. Why is it so bad when a black person has it?

I have no idea why. Skin color is the same as eye color, you didn't pick that. What is all did that to green eyed people. On the inside we look the same, have same organs, same blood color, what does it matter, we're all human and have feelings. I think the variety of having people in different colors make life more beautiful.

Because people are ignorant, plain and simple, I work in a mostly "white" enviroment, I have made it clear that I will not tolerate any racist actions, there are some days I am ashamed to be white, there is no color in my world, but stop glorifing the "GANGSTA" attitude, I lived with two Jamacians in my teens, two guys I consider family, I cant stand the way "white" kids today think that they are black, they have no idea what its like, I have been to the ghettos of Harlem, Baltimore, Jamacia, etc, they would love to have half the sh*t that these spoiled, upperclass as*wipes, have, or just the chance to earn it. Why is so bad that they have it? Because they do and people are just jealous that they dont, get off your *** then and get whats yours, dont blame a whole race!. Other races and nationalities cause problems but you just dont hear about it, so we all screw up, so we are all equal, as far as heros they have better ones, think about it ...Mandela, Martin Luther, Malcolm, Fighting for a cause peacefully, for the most part we have nothing but war mongers. enough I could go on for hours, not the platform to do it, just remember to do your part, dont stand for it, stand against it, cheers and peace.

its not bad for ANY one ot have what they want in life. But I find it hard to belief that Black people get offend ed ONLY by the words coming fro ma white persons mouth.LIsten to somerap artists songsand you will hear MORE racist statemenst comingfro mthe mabouttheir own race then what you are complaining about.I was i nCollege and I remember most black guys would call their firends the N word all the tiem BUT if I where ot call one blakc person the N word I would be forever labled as a Racist.

Talk about double standard , must be sweet to use the same N word to cal lyour friend but cuz of my skin color if i use that same word I am a racist .

Seems to me EVERYONE can just use their name or nickname and drop the silly act of a Gangster wanna be and just be themselves - the world would be a better place. not every single black person grow up i nharle min the hood with guns firing off every single night and friends dieing i nthe street every night.
Same goes for any other race on this earth.
True we all have known someone who bad a choice and they paid dearly for it ,but to say ALL black people understand Ghetto life is nonsence .

Yes the world is not perfect but then look at the world we live in know -Mid East People are hated becuase of 9-11 and everyone casts an eye at them when the walk on the street .So why are we not saying anything about that ?

Time to understand that we as humans do have serveral differences but having those differences allows us to better prepare ourselves for future issues and have a wider range of ways to handle issues and get a better understanding of cause and effect of those issues.

I dont care what color your skin is or your believes , if I enjoy your company what is the issue ? If you and I both have fun and can relax and enjoy each others company why cant we just live and enjoy it ?

I think racism is ignorance in every aspect of this world we live in today. Whites were mad cause they didn't have any more slaves to work their lands, raise their kids and bringing in money for the white man that wasn't doing s**t to deserve it. I guess I can say we have all been discriminated at least once in our lives either Hispanics, blacks, Asian, Arabs etc, it doesn't matter where you are from but you have probably been hurt by it, but also remember I am a Cuban American and no one in my generation that I know of was a slave and blacks unfortunately were taken away from their homelands and brought to this country to be abused and enslaved. To move on in life you have to leave that prejudice behind but sometimes it is hard since it was not that long ago that the black race was enslaved and on top of that black people have to deal with the ignorance of people that know nothing about their history so I guess and I think they do have a right to be apprehensive. I personally do not like or dislike people by the color of their sink but by the way they treat me and their personality.

This all stems from your upbringing. The whole nature vs. nurture thing. If your great grand father was a racist, then your grandfather was a racist. If your grand father was then your father most likely was and if your father was the 9 times out of 10 you will be too. Also in the grand sceme of things people fear what they don't understand. If they have never been exposed to the african american culture or the people (personally) then they are more likely to want to turn it into something negitive. Yes there are black criminals but there are also white ones, asian ones. men and women alike. people need to realise that we are all the same underneath it all.

All races experience some form of racism. We are all different in race and life experiences and our prejudice is a subset of what happens in our lives. I am sure White people feel discriminated against, as well as Mexicans, Native Americans, Arabs, and Asians, etc....I know we think we live in a Black vs. White world but in there are alot of races and we all feel the prejudice sometimes. In a perfect world we would all respect each others differences...all you can do is be open minded to other people's differences and not spread the prejudice.

Racism in any form is a bad thing. But people tend to fear that what they don't understand. Hating on someone because they color of their skin, what they look like, their religion or how they dress is just plain dumb. You can't change a person opinion, because 90% of the time what they hate is really themselves.

And yes I am A Black Woman!

because when people see things which are different the judge them, without understanding, and this country began with such a predjuice towards blacks, that it will take generations, for it to extinguish, we do seem to be making strides but less than 50 years ago, blacks and whites were still using different facilities....... it unfortunatly will take time, and the food thing is all cultural im from the south and i grew up on cornbread, fried chicken, watermellon, collard, kale, pigs feet........ and when I first heard someone joking about black people and chicken I didnt even understand

What do you mean by people?

I am not racist and I don't even know any racist people. So fix your question and maybe you will get a correct answer.

Oh, and stereotyping is not the same as racism.

Is it racist that my black neighbor just asked me when my watermelons were going to be ripe. He said, and I quote, "I really like watermelon"

I guess he is racist against himself.

I think it is because people (some not all) act like they are better than every one and refuse to get to know some 1 because they "have bettr things to do than that" just be who you know to be and dnt go with what the world says or does. all it takes is for 1 to make a diffrence
