If you have a heat resistant glass dish such as a pyrex dish....use that over low fire.

You are not supposed to boil milk; it will scorch at a high temperature, cancelling out your question.
You are supposed to scald milk just below the boiling point; when small bubbles appear around the edges of the pan.

Do you have any canned goods? If so, empty a can out, clean it, pour in the milk, and set the can in the fire so that it is stable. This will work.
Or you can put it in the microwave in something other than metal.

you can boil water in a paper cup,because the heat energy from the flame will be transferred to the water before the cup burns. so i assume you will get the same effect with milk.

In a clay pot...the milk comes out tasting AWESOME!!!...especially if you're using a charcoal stove! YUM!!!
