my bf is accused of stealing a car (i dont now if he did or not) he was arrested hat is the time served for this?i dont know what his record looks like.

he promised to change and has enrolling in college. he said he stopped doing this illegal stuff can i find out when this occured?

The only college he's going to is a state run institution.

Depends on the court/judge really and his record. If it's a first offense, then the judge will look at the circumstances surrounding the crime. Did it take place during the day or at night? Was he armed? Was anyone else involved? Anything like this. There are no mandatory sentencing guildlines now, however, the prior sentencing guidlines are referenced still. If he's making an effort to change and this was the only thing on his record, then he may only get probation. However, auto theft is a serious offense, so he will be lucky if he doesn't get jail/prison time over 1 year.

Get his legal name and social security number and you can go to the local county sheriffs office and request a records check. It should cost between 3 and 15 dollars in most places.
