Jolt Cola or Mountain Dew.

I also recommend chocolate covered coffee beans for a nice, sustained buzz. Those kept me on the road while I drove for a straight 23 hours once.

(The following clip is copied from one of the caffiene faq's. I just edited out the non-diet drinks)

According to the National Soft Drink Association, the following
is the caffeine content in mgs per 12 oz can of soda:

Sugar-Free Mr. Pibb 58.8
Diet Mountain Dew 55.0
Diet Cola 45.6
Shasta Diet Cola 44.4
Diet Pepsi 35.4
Diet RC 36.0
Diet Rite 36.0

- Not sure if you want to include coffee or tea, so here ya go:
Drip 115-175
Espresso 100mg of caffeine
1 serving (1.5-2oz)

Brewed 80-135
Instant 65-100
Decaf, brewed 3-4
Decaf, instant 2-3
Tea, iced (12 ozs.) 70

As for the metabolism question, here's a clip from the same source, just not as easy to find:

Caffeine increases the level of circulating fatty acids. This has been shown to increase the oxidation of these fuels, hence enhancing fat oxidation. Caffeine has been used for years by runners and endurance people to enhance fatty acid metabolism. It's particularly effective in those who are not habitual users.

Another side note - Caffiene restricts blood vessels, it is used in combination with aspirin to release alkaloids for migrane relief, and has the effect of being a general neural enhancer (faster firing of neurons b/c of the way it temporarily changes neuron morphology).

Having said all that (and it IS my drug of choice), try not to get hooked on it. All of the good effects fade, requiring more and larger doses to maintain yourself, your bio-clock gets used to when you take it, etc.

Sorry about the long post. I'm talkative like that in person too. :)

Diet soda is worse than regular soda because they use other sweeteners that are unnatural and bad for you. Green tea helps boost your metabolism and so does white tea it has more caffeine than green tea and taste better.

Try sugar-free Red Bull or sugar-free Rockstar, if you like energy drinks. They don't have calories, and they actually taste pretty good!
