I am a team mom for my son's 5 year old soccer team. Does anyone have any good ideas for a gift for the coach and end of season team party??

As said the party should definately be a soccer theme (with a soccer cake and so-on).
As far as a gift, the signing the ball was a good one and you good even get it incased in something. Or they could sign a team shirt or have a plaque made thanking him for being a good coach. Gift baskets are always a good thing, if he/she is married have something they can enjoy as a family like food items in a basket with a card signed by all team members. Anything coming from the kids will be awesome! You could possibly give the kids like a five dollar limit and let them each pick something out and give him/her several small gifts.

I have been doing this for 7 years and the best thing that I found for the end of the season was a Pizza Party. It's inexpensive and kids love pizza. What we do is go to our practice area and have a friendly game of kids against parents or coaches against kids (or combined) and enjoy the day. It has really become a big part of the season. We also play kickball and other kid games to the end the season on a good note. As far as the coaches go, there are some really good ideas on the internet. I got my coaches a resin stand up trophy last year from k2awards.com and they loved it!!
